Job Summary
Conduct daily mathematics instruction for grades 6-8 students in Paterson Public Schools, utilizing interactive computer software and data from NJSLS and NJSLA assessments to drive instruction. Apply effective instructional strategies while communicating effectively with staff, parents, and the community. Maintain integrity and respect for others as a critical thinker and problem solver. This role requires a New Jersey Middle School or K-12 Mathematics certificate and experience working with elementary students. Applications are open for ten consecutive days pending budget availability.
Required Qualifications
- New Jersey Middle School with Subject matter Specialization in Mathematics certificate or K-12 Mathematics certificate
- Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
- Effective instructional practices and strategies
- Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
- Experience working with elementary students
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
- Critical thinking ability
- Problem-solving ability
- Respect for others
- Computer literacy
- Ability to use interactive computer instructional software
