Job Summary
TEACHER, GRADE 5 responsible for instructing 5th-grade students to meet curriculum goals. Plans a program of study that accommodates individual needs, interests, and abilities; creates a conducive classroom environment; prepares lessons, maintains records, and communicates progress to students and parents. Uses diverse instructional techniques and media aligned with district goals; assesses student progress regularly; collaborates with district specialists as needed; supports CORE Literacy and WOW initiatives; oversees teacher aide(s) and volunteers; participates in staff meetings and committees; upholds district policies and ensures classroom discipline and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate, license, or other legal credential required
- Degree(s) required in area of major study
