Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences for Grade 1 students. Create and maintain an environment fostering student achievement by maximizing opportunities for success through positive relationships. Instruct and monitor students in learning materials while showing confidence in using various technology applications. Observe and evaluate student performance, assigning and grading class work, homework, and tests with appropriate feedback. Be flexible and innovative in designing formal and informal learning experiences responsive to student needs. Assume other responsibilities as determined by the supervising administrator and conduct yourself professionally to project a good public image of the School District.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching certificate
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
- Must be Highly Qualified in endorsement area
- Must meet certification and endorsement requirements for assignment
- Must meet all NCA and Michigan Department of Education requirements
- Be proficient in the use of technology
- Must be able to work in a collaborative environment
- Must be willing to learn new skills or revamp their curriculum
- Be flexible, resourceful, innovative
- Can effectively manage the design and execution of learning experiences
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 pounds in assisting students
