Job Summary
Instruct assigned classes in designated locations and times while planning programs that meet individual student needs and interests. Create annual pacing guides, review backward design units, and actively monitor student achievement data from benchmarks, state assessments, and classroom evaluations. Establish clear lesson objectives, employ varied instructional techniques, and diagnose learning disabilities with assistance from district specialists. Maintain accurate records, manage classroom behavior, and collaborate with administration, staff, and parents to support student development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in field of assignment
- Valid Kentucky Teaching Certification for area and grade level of assignment
- Maintain regular attendance
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written communications
- Collaborate with district and school staff
- Demonstrate positive, professional relationships with district personnel, parents, and community members
- Provide needed resources, services, and materials for students
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights
- Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing
- Use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching
