Job Summary
Collaborate with the Head Teacher and Family Advocate to plan and implement the Head Start educational program for preschool children; assist with daily operations in the center classroom, prepare the learning environment, supervise activities, and ensure safety; participate in development of activities to promote children’s development, assist with developmental screenings, and engage families through family/male involvement initiatives; may perform home visits and parent/teacher conferences as needed; require background check, drug test, and physical; must have or pursue CDA program within two years; able to lift 40 pounds and hold a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CDA or enrollment in CDA program within two years
- Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred
