Job Summary
The Overbrook School for the Blind is seeking a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to educate and support visually impaired students with various challenges, requiring specialized skills, a Bachelor's degree in education or special education, relevant PA certification, and experience with visual impairments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education in Visual Impairment or Special Education (working toward a certification in visual impairment).
- Current PA Teacher of the Visually Impaired Certification.
- A valid driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with students with blindness/visual impairments and additional disabilities.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR/AED.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Crisis intervention skills and leadership skills.
