Teacher Expert Instructional Support, ELL Secondary

Teacher Expert, Instructional Support assists in providing an educational program responsive to student needs and aligned with the Anchorage School District and school goals. The role involves supporting instruction by recommending, demonstrating, or modeling appropriate materials, technology, and resources to meet diverse learning needs; describing philosophy of education and its relation to practice; using current technology to enhance instruction; applying research and theory to instructional programs; participating in and contributing to the teaching profession; meeting with building principals to identify professional development needs and assess progress, and collaborating with principals to build instructional competency; facilitating data-driven discussions using multiple performance measures; fostering relationships with stakeholders; providing training in evidence-based instructional practices; developing staff proficiency in culturally responsive practices and differentiated instruction; assisting with resolving obstacles to school programs and projects; participating in meetings and training as scheduled; and supporting a professional environment with diverse groups. This position may require work in ASD facilities on military installations (JBER).
