Job Summary
Develop, plan, organize, and implement an instructional program for exceptional student education (ESE) students through curriculum, lesson plans, and individual education plan development. Ensure all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security while meeting federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves 196 days per year at Paul R. Smith Middle School in Holiday, FL. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Exceptional Student Education or related field, plus a valid Florida Educator's Certificate or district-issued adjunct certification. A Reading Endorsement is preferred. Additional compensation applies if teaching an extra period beyond the base contract.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the field of Exceptional Student Education, or related field
- Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Educator's Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification
- Valid statement of eligibility
