Job Summary
Develop and implement an instructional program for exceptional student education (ESE) students through curriculum, lesson plans, educational programs and individual education plan development while ensuring procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, local regulations. The role involves teaching students with intellectual disabilities, planning and delivering instruction, aligning with IEPs, and collaborating with colleagues. Preferred qualifications include a Reading Endorsement; candidates may be prioritized if willing to earn or sign an endorsement. Responsibilities may include Community-Based Instruction and participation in Special Olympics; additional compensation may be provided for teaching extra periods. Background screening as required by Pasco County School District.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Exceptional Student Education, or related field, OR approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification, OR Valid statement of eligibility
