Job Summary
Instructional position for Exceptional Student Education (ESE) students at Hudson Academy. Responsible for developing and implementing an instructional program, including curriculum planning, lesson delivery, IEP development, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Requires a Bachelor's degree in ESE or related field (or participation in a state-approved certification pathway) and a valid Florida educator certification or adjunct certification (or eligibility). Reading Endorsement is preferred and may be prioritized if the candidate agrees to earn it.Teaching may include additional periods beyond base contract with compensation as approved by the district. 196 days per year, full-time, benefit-eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Exceptional Student Education, or related field, OR approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification, OR Valid statement of eligibility
- Reading Endorsement preferred. Candidates with a Reading Endorsement or who are willing to sign an agreement to earn an endorsement may be prioritized for hiring.
