Job Summary
Instructional position responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for exceptional student education (ESE) students, focusing on curriculum, lesson plans, and individual education plan (IEP) development while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and federal/state/local regulations. Requires a Bachelor;s degree in ESE or related field or state-approved certification pathway, and a valid Florida Educator;s Certificate or district adjunct certification (or eligibility); Reading Endorsement preferred. May teach an additional period with supplemental pay; 196 instructional days; full-time, benefit-eligible. Background screening per district guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Exceptional Student Education or related field OR approval by/state-approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Educator;s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification, OR Valid statement of eligibility
- Reading Endorsement preferred or willingness to earn endorsement
- Background screening requirements (Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, Level II)
- Possession of or eligibility for Florida educator certification as applicable
