Job Summary
Provide specially designed instruction for students with disabilities, develop and implement IEPs, and serve as case manager to support IEP processes. Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned to state standards; collaborate with general education teachers and service providers; collect and monitor student performance data; facilitate IEP meetings and reevaluation reviews with parents and staff; administer state assessments and ensure testing environments meet requirements; use technology to support learning; maintain a safe, organized classroom; and actively participate in professional development to improve instructional practices for students with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution
- Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in Exceptional Student Education and Endorsement, as required
- Meet certification and highly qualified requirement for core content area(s), at appropriate level
