Job Summary
Provide additional student support through small groups for all grades to ensure academic success. Assist administrators and teachers with planning and implementing instructional interventions and tutorials. Monitor the progress of identified students following STAAR interventions and CBA data. Maintain ongoing communication with administrators and classroom teachers. This role involves pulling small groups of students needing assistance in Language Arts. The position is funded by Federal and/or State grants, contingent on full funding availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited College or University
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- ESL Certificate
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and patient
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
