Job Summary
Teach students in the ESE Visually Impaired program within Broward County, FL, using an aligned curriculum and assessment process to meet district and state standards. Implement traditional and alternative assessment strategies, use effective communication with students and parents, and engage in ongoing professional development. Employ instructional strategies and materials that reflect diverse cultures, learning styles, special needs, and socio-economic backgrounds; integrate technology into teaching; maintain school records and ensure compliance with ethics, laws, and district regulations; support positive learning environments and active student engagement; collaborate with peers, parents, and community to improve educational experiences; complete any LEP-related endorsement as assigned. Must hold appropriate Florida certification and align with classroom management, safety, and compliance requirements while delivering high-quality instruction for visually impaired students.
