Job Summary
Teaches North Carolina Standard Course of Study/ Common Core and Essential Standards for assigned grade. Plans, organizes, and presents instruction and instructional environments to help students learn subject matter and skills, conducts lessons at an appropriate pace, maintains classroom standards, and evaluates student performance. Responsibilities include maintaining instructional materials and inventory, communicating with parents and counselors, participating in district committees, supervising students, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires solid understanding of research-based practices, knowledge of student development and learning, ability to use data for teaching, and proficiency with technology and classroom management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited college/university
- Must hold or be qualified to hold a North Carolina Professional Educator's License
