Job Summary
Teach English to middle school students (Grades 6-8) and develop curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials aligned with district goals. Promote a safe environment for individualized and small group instruction; assess student progress; employ diverse instructional methods to address varying learning needs; facilitate discussions to develop critical analysis of literature and reading materials; collaborate with staff, maintain records, and engage parents to support student learning. Requires state certification as an English Education Teacher; a Bachelor's degree in Education is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Active involvement in professional development and adherence to district policies and standards are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Certification/License: State Certification as an English Education Teacher
- Education: Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Masters Degree in related area preferred
