Job Summary
EL Teacher for English Learners leads and coordinates the school EL program (LIEP), develops and implements lesson plans to meet the needs of identified EL students, instructs students individually and in groups using varied methods, maintains accurate records for IEPs and 504 plans, administers tests, engages families to support EL student progress, collaborates with administrators and PLC teams, ensures alignment with North Carolina standards and district curriculum, and provides professional leadership in implementing EL policies and practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in assigned area
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
