Job Summary
Plan, organize, and present instruction and an instructional environment for English/Language Arts to support students' educational and social development. Responsibilities include managing instructional time, student behavior, and presentation of lessons; monitoring student performance and providing timely feedback; facilitating instruction aligned with curricular goals; collaborating with teacher assistants, and performing non-instructional duties while adhering to laws, policies, and school procedures. Requires ability to motivate students, maintain safe and orderly classrooms, and communicate effectively in multiple professional contexts; minimum education/licensure as required by NC DPI.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in education or related area qualifying for licensure by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI)
- Not on NCDPI list of teachers no longer qualified or in revocation process
