Job Summary
Meet and instruct assigned ESL classes at designated locations and times. Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs using varied instructional techniques. Create a learning environment conducive to student maturity and interests while guiding lessons toward curriculum goals. Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports as required. Maintain accurate records per law, district policy, and administrative regulations. Make provision for availability to students and parents outside the instructional day when requested. Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers, evaluating their performance cooperatively with department heads. Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required. Strive to maintain and improve professional competence. Bilingual applicants (Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least one year of full-time teaching experience
- Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Required license(s): ESL 5-12
