Job Summary
Cheshire High School English teacher, 0.4 FTE. Develops and administers English curriculum aligned to district goals; creates lesson plans and instructional materials; teaches English grammar, syntax, vocabulary, writing, and literature; assesses student learning and adapts instruction for diverse needs; maintains records and communicates with parents; collaborates with staff to support student achievement and alignment with district/state standards. Requires CT State Certification as an English Education Teacher; Bachelor's degree in education; Master’s degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- CT State Certification as an English Education Teacher (#015)
- Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Masters Degree in related area preferred
