Job Summary
Elementary-level Physical Education teacher responsible for delivering physical fitness, health education, and developmentally appropriate physical activities. Drives student growth in strength, agility, coordination, and sport skills; plans and implements lessons aligned with division standards and SOL; collaborates with colleagues to plan a balanced program; maintains student behavior standards and safety procedures; assesses student learning and adapts instruction; communicates progress to parents and school counselors; participates in events and activities; must hold or be eligible for Virginia teaching license with endorsements in Health and Physical Education; required background investigations and TB screening. Demonstrates proficiency with instructional technology, develops age-appropriate goals, and supports equitable, non-discriminatory practices. Compensation $55,046.62 - $83,594.34; 8 hours/day; 200 days/year; Chesterfield County Public Schools; benefits vary by full/part-time status.
Required Qualifications
- Virginia teaching license with endorsements in Health and Physical Education
- Background investigations/tests: FBI Criminal History Investigation, State Police Criminal History Investigation, CPS Investigation
- Tuberculosis Screening/Test
