Job Summary
Meet and instruct assigned classes in designated locations and times. Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs using varied instructional techniques. Create a conducive learning environment and guide the process toward curriculum goals while establishing clear objectives. Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports. Maintain accurate records per law and district policy. Make provision for availability to students and parents outside the instructional day. Plan and supervise teacher aide and volunteer assignments. Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required. Strive to maintain professional competence and implement district educational philosophy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least one year of full-time teaching experience
- Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Required license(s): ELEMENTARY 1-6 or ELEMENTARY MATH 1-6 or GENERAL SCIENCE 1-6 or HISTORY/SOCIAL SCIENCE 1-6 (depending on content placement)
