Job Summary
Elementary itinerant teaching position serving Art, Music, and Physical Education with a 50% building assignment. Plans, prepares, and delivers instructional activities that facilitate active learning; fosters environments that support student achievement and lifelong skills; builds positive relationships with students; instructs and monitors students using learning materials and equipment; demonstrates proficiency with technology and various applications; acts as a role model for lifelong learning and professional behavior; collaborates in a team, remains flexible and innovative to adapt curricula to student needs; observes and evaluates student progress, assigns and grades work, and provides timely feedback; must be able to bend and lift up to 50 pounds to assist students; performs other duties as determined by supervising administrator; maintains professional conduct and represents the school district positively.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching certificate
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
- Master’s degree preferred
- Must be Highly Qualified in endorsement area
- Must meet certification and endorsement requirements for assignment
- Be proficient in the use of technology
- Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift up to 50 pounds
