Job Summary
Teach Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Personal Development to diverse elementary students using District-approved curricula. Counsel students to support achievement, monitor conduct, and evaluate performance, behavior, and social development. Prepare lesson plans, administer tests, and report grades via District software while communicating with parents and administrators to resolve academic and behavioral issues. Establish clear objectives and instruct students individually or in groups using varied methods. May participate in extra-duty activities such as coaching or tutoring. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, a Colorado teaching license, and a permanent Colorado address.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community
- Believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado
- Ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree (for Concurrent Enrollment positions)
