Teacher - Elem - 4th

Guides the learning process toward curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects. Plans a program of study that meets individual student needs and abilities; prepares for classes and provides written evidence of preparation. Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning; supervises students to protect their health and safety; assesses student progress and maintains records. Diagnoses learning disabilities with district specialist support as needed; helps implement district policies and classroom rules; encourages positive student behavior. Makes provisions to be available to students and parents outside instructional hours; plans and supervises assignments for teacher aides and volunteers; participates in staff meetings and committees; performs other duties as assigned.
