Job Summary
Teach 4th grade students, plans and executes a program of study aligned with curriculum goals, uses varied instructional techniques and media, maintains accurate records, assesses student progress, diagnoses learning needs with district specialists as needed, collaborates with administration on classroom rules and policies, and remains available to students and parents outside instructional hours. Responsibilities include supervising teacher aides and volunteers, attending staff meetings, and contributing to the learning environment that supports student safety, growth, and achievement. Requires strong communication skills, classroom management, and ability to implement lesson plans and adapt to individual student needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Eligibility for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area
- Strong knowledge of subject content and instructional techniques
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to plan and implement a program of study
- Ability to supervise teacher aide(s) and volunteers
- Commitment to meeting individual student needs and district policies
