Job Summary
Secondary Teacher, English Language Arts (LTS) responsible for delivering District-approved ELA curriculum to middle/secondary students, designing engaging lessons, planning and implementing assessments, maintaining student records, and collaborating with special education staff and families. The role emphasizes equity and inclusion, professional growth, and active participation in district meetings and program activities. Responsibilities include creating a respectful, motivating classroom environment; utilizing data to guide instruction; aligning with Pennsylvania Core Standards; managing behavior and implementing district policies; and supporting student development through a range of instructional strategies and technology-enabled learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts or related
- PA Department of Education Instructional Teaching Certificate in the area and at the level of this job description
- Understanding of Pennsylvania Core Standards
