ELA teacher for Grade 6 at Chelsea Public Schools. Responsible for effective planning and assessment of curriculum and instruction; meets and instructs assigned students at designated times; plans a program of study aligned with individual needs and abilities; provides instruction support to struggling students in class and pull-out settings; delivers daily focused, research-based interventions using approved instructional materials; uses clear goals and appropriate questioning techniques; employs innovative instructional strategies and technology to boost student learning and confidence; creates a learning environment conducive to achievement; maintains high standards for student achievement and behavior; implements district mission and instructional standards; assesses and documents student progress; documents learning problems and seeks district specialists as needed; protects students, equipment, materials, and facilities; maintains accurate records; supports classroom rules and parent communication; available outside instructional day for education-related purposes; strives to maintain professional competence aligned with assignment; attends staff meetings; collaborates with colleagues and parents; promotes equity and appreciation of diversity; supports students with disabilities in general education; differentiates learning for second language learners; performs additional duties as determined by the Principal/Designee.
