Job Summary
EC General Curriculum Teacher under moderate supervision delivers group and individual instruction aligned to the IEPs, develops lesson plans, administers and grades tests, collects data to document student progress on IEP goals, uses behavioral assessment tools (FBA) and implements Behavioral Intervention Plans, applies ABA-informed strategies to support student learning, collaborates with administration and other educators to create an inclusive educational environment, adheres to school procedures for crises and emergencies, maintains records, and participates in professional development and PLCs. Requires Bachelor’s degree and NC teaching license; 10-month, full-time schedule; duties occur on-site at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree in education preferred
- Valid, or renewing, NC Teaching license in assigned area required
- Equivalent combination of experience and education
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license or ability to provide own transportation
- Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
