Job Summary
Plan, develop, and execute a program for children aged two through five based on individual developmental needs. Supervise, train, and assist assigned teaching paraprofessionals while preparing educational materials for daily activities. Maintain an orderly environment, hold parent conferences regarding child growth, and collaborate with elementary teachers when appropriate. Monitor children in classrooms, record significant behaviors, and maintain required records and reports. Work positively with parents and participate in staff meetings and in-service education. Requires a valid California Class C driver's license, early childhood certification, and Site Supervisor Permit or above.
Required Qualifications
- Children's Center Instructional Permit issued by CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
- Evidence of sufficient judgment to handle crisis situations, and to use supervision constructively
- Valid early childhood certification
- Site Supervisor Permit or above
- 2 or more years experience
- High School Diploma & 24+ units in Early Childhood Education courses or PK-3 credential
- Valid California Class C driver's license
