Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans with accommodations for diverse learning styles, presenting subject matter aligned with Texas Education Agency guidelines. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement and learning styles to tailor instructional activities and study habits. Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per Individual Education Plans and supervise assigned teacher aides. Manage student behavior, maintain open communication with parents and staff, and participate in faculty meetings and staff development. Serve as a positive role model while complying with all state, district, and school regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
