Job Summary
Teach Special Education of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing in an ASL/English dual-language school; bilingual and bi-literate in ASL. Apply the Standards of Effective Teaching to set ambitious goals, deliver engaging, differentiated instruction, assess regularly, and maintain an equitable, safe learning environment. Engage with families and participate in collaborative professional practice. Required credentials include a Bachelor's degree, Massachusetts Teaching License in Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, and U.S. work authorization; position may function as a Long-Term Substitute depending on vacancy status.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Massachusetts Teaching License in Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (All Levels)
- Current authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to meet the Standards of Effective Teaching as outlined by Boston Public Schools
- Experience teaching in urban settings (preferred)
- Fluency in ASL and English (ASL/English dual language school)
