Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, adapting materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs. Present subject matter in accordance with Texas Education Agency guidelines while conducting ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing. Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals, supervise teacher aides, and manage extracurricular activities as assigned. Maintain open communication with parents, students, and colleagues while modeling positive behavior and supporting the school district's mission. Use technology to enhance the teaching/learning process and participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
