Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth; develop and implement curriculum plans for the assigned program; prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for individual student differences; employ varied instructional techniques and media aligned with district requirements; supervise teacher assistants/volunteers; integrate technology in the teaching/learning process; assess student progress and provide reports; participate in school improvement efforts and professional development; maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues while upholding TEA and district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Be eligible for the appropriate Probationary Certificate through a TEA approved Teacher Certification Program
- Bachelor’s degree and Texas teaching certificate
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Student teaching, approved internship or approved Alternative Teacher Certification Program
