Teacher - CTE Health Science (2026-2027)

Job Summary
Plan and deliver in-person Health Science/CTE instruction aligned with the district curriculum; develop and implement lesson plans, reflect accommodations for individual student differences, assess student learning, and collaborate with Special Education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs. Plan goals and methods with staff, supervise instructional aides/volunteers, and support extracurricular activities. Create a positive classroom environment, manage behavior per the Student Code of Conduct, select instructional materials, maintain reports and records, communicate professionally with parents and community, pursue ongoing professional development, and ensure compliance with district/state policies. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and valid Texas teaching certificates, including ESL endorsement where applicable. On-site, no remote work; regular travel within the district.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in subject assigned
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate in English as a Second Language – Required for all Core Subject Teachers
- CTE Teachers: Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Teachers: Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood
- Physical Education Teachers: AED and CPR certification
- Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
