Job Summary
CTE Teacher for Family & Consumer Science in Texas. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and TEA guidelines; tailor instruction to diverse student needs; conduct ongoing assessments of student learning; oversee field experiences; cooperate with special education staff to modify curricula via IEPs; plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers; maintain records and reports; communicate professionally with parents, students, colleagues, and community; comply with district/state regulations and participate in staff development; supervise assigned instructional aides; ensure classroom safety and appropriate learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, or high school diploma/GED and equivalent wage-earning experience as required by certification
- Valid Texas career and technical education certificate with required license, endorsements, and training for subject and level assigned, or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the career and technical education subject area assigned
