Job Summary
Consult with general education teachers/staff, special education teachers/staff, scholars, and administration to ensure access to and progress in the general education curriculum. Coordinate with building teams under administration to support programming, academic, and behavioral success; collaborate with curriculum consultants, teachers, and case managers; gather and analyze data to make data-based decisions; support IEP/Service Plan development and eligibility determination; provide training and support for assistive technology and district instructional materials; participate in required meetings and may proctor assessments; may provide direct services to scholars; align with PBIS CEIS Plan and district initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education or a field of study related to special education
- Minimum of three (3) consecutive years of highly effective or effective teaching experience in a special education program
- Possess a current endorsement in any area of special education or is eligible for endorsement according to R340.1749 in MARSE
