Job Summary
Meet and instruct assigned classes in designated locations and times. Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs using varied instructional techniques. Create a conducive learning environment and guide lessons toward curriculum goals while establishing clear objectives. Assess student accomplishments regularly and maintain accurate records per law and district policy. Provide availability to students and parents outside the instructional day when required. Plan and supervise teacher aide and volunteer assignments, evaluating their performance cooperatively with department heads. Attend staff meetings and serve on required committees. Maintain and improve professional competence. Bilingual applicants in Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least one year of full-time teaching experience
- Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Required license(s): COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH 5-12 or HEALTH / FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCE ALL
