Job Summary
Provide Head Start classroom instruction to support children’s school readiness in a Dunn, NC Head Start center. Create and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum and educational standards; assess student progress and provide feedback to students and guardians; maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students; collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and improve educational programs; participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Requires CDA or state equivalency, or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field. Emphasizes culturally and linguistically responsive, developmentally appropriate teaching practices and teamwork to promote student growth.
Required Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or state equivalency
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
- Experience teaching in a classroom setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and implement effective lesson plans
