Job Summary
Teach and coach PE by developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with district curricula; present subject matter per TEA guidelines; differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles; assess student achievement; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula; supervise athletic activities and ensure UIL rules compliance; plan and supervise teacher aide(s) and volunteers; sponsor or support extracurricular activities; maintain open communication with parents, students, and colleagues; integrate technology to enhance learning; create a productive classroom environment and promote student growth in academics and athletics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one year student teaching or approved internship
