Job Summary
Teach and coach in core subjects (Math, Science, or Spanish) with responsibilities including developing and delivering lesson plans aligned to district curriculum, assessing student learning, accommodating varied learning styles, collaborating with special education staff on IEPs, utilizing technology to support learning, and supervising extracurricular activities in football, baseball, or track. The role requires maintaining classroom management, communicating with parents and staff, participating in professional development, and adhering to UIL rules while supporting student athletic growth and character development. The position also involves coordinating with athletic and school staff to schedule competitions and ensure student eligibility, and providing leadership across instructional goals and activities for student athletes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one year student teaching or approved internship
