Job Summary
Deliver targeted instruction to Grades 9-12 students using ChanceLight Education methodologies and innovative curriculum resources. Develop comprehensive daily lesson plans and structured schedules aligned with state guidelines, while collaborating with special education staff to differentiate instruction for diverse physical, emotional, and educational needs. Implement behavioral standards to maintain a safe learning environment and communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and challenges. Assess student growth through data collection to inform instructional practices and participate in team meetings to resolve concerns and strengthen support networks. Stay current with research-based practices and respond constructively to feedback to foster continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a closely related field of study
- Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid AZ state IVP clearance card
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a valid AZ state teaching credential preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training
- Prior experience working with curriculum development, classroom management, differentiation and instruction in an education setting
- Prior teaching experience in relevant grade level and/or subject matter; preferably in an alternative, special education or behavioral health program setting
- Prior experience and/or knowledge in working with students with individualized education plans (IEP's)
- Proven success in developing and implementing effective education plans for students with diverse needs at various levels
- Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals
- Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions
- Advanced oral and written communication, instruction, curriculum, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment

- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a valid AZ state teaching credential preferred
