Job Summary
Lead Industrial Technology instruction at Smith Junior High School by translating curriculum standards into meaningful learning experiences through classroom delivery and special area assignments. Maintain a positive educational environment that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of all students while utilizing district-adopted textbooks and higher-level thinking strategies in lesson planning. Continuously collect student achievement data using various tools to inform instructional decisions and establish effective classroom management in accordance with regulations. Build positive relationships with students, parents, and school personnel to support academic and behavioral progress, while producing and maintaining accurate student records related to achievement, attendance, and discipline.

- Valid IVP Arizona fingerprint clearance card
- Evidence of highly qualified status
- Three letters of recommendation
- Transcript of credits
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Arizona CTE Teaching Certification
- Prior teaching experience
- Associate teacher experience
- Student teaching experience
- Practicum experience
- Knowledge of related subject matter
- Instructional skills
- Knowledge of resource materials
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative and effective professional relationships with teachers, administrators, parents, students
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with parents and school personnel at all levels
- Professional appearance

- Ability to appropriately communicate and interact with other staff in academic planning and school committee work

- Ability to stand and walk around the classroom or school premises
