Job Summary
Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing a Career and Technical Education (CTE) instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or approved certification pathway, a Florida Educator’s Certificate or CTE certification, and/or RN licensure. The position may include teaching an additional period beyond the base contract with compensation added at the negotiated rate. Instruction is at the secondary level within Pasco County Schools, New Port Richey, FL, with focus on Health Science and CTE education, compliance with district and regulatory standards, background screening, and commitment to nondiscrimination in employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Florida Educator’s Certificate in field or District CTE Certification OR valid statement of eligibility
- Valid Florida Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) licensure OR equivalent pathway to teaching Health Science in CTE
- One year of professional or practical clinical nursing experience OR one year of experience teaching adults OR one year of experience supervising nursing assistants
