Job Summary
Teacher responsible for implementing the educational program for 3-5 year olds, planning and delivering learning experiences aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework domains (Approaches to Learning, Social and Emotional Development, Language and Literacy, Cognition, Mathematics Development, Scientific Reasoning, Perceptual, Motor, and Physical Development), maintaining a safe and healthy classroom, fostering positive teacher-child relationships and family involvement, describing and documenting children�s growth with data collection tools, supervising staff/volunteers, ensuring cleanliness, coordinating with administrative staff, and supporting IEP processes including home visits, parent conferences, and community engagement. Start ASAP with 10-month program; positions reflect CDA/AA/BA pay scales and typical preschool responsibilities; travel for training may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Associate degree in Early Childhood Education required. Coursework equivalent to Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool children may be substituted for ECE degree if deemed appropriate.
- One year of experience teaching children ages (3 to 5 years).
- Valid driver�s license, access to transportation with liability insurance and willing to use vehicle for Agency related travel.
- Must pass tuberculosis screening annually and initial health examination within first three months of employment.
