Job Summary
Provide students with learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth; develop and implement the curriculum for the assigned physical education/athletics program; plan and deliver lessons reflecting accommodation for individual differences; use instructional strategies and technologies to support student learning; assess student achievement through formal and informal testing, and provide progress reports; coordinate and supervise extracurricular activities as assigned; participate in ARD meetings and discuss students’ strengths, weaknesses, and abilities with parents and staff; communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the community; maintain open lines of communication, manage classroom behavior, and adhere to district policies; plan, prepare, and supervise instructional activities and materials; supervise instructional assistants and volunteers; pursue ongoing professional development and implement new strategies to meet campus performance objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate, with required endorsements for subject/level assigned
