Job Summary
Biology teacher for high school (2026-2027 SY) responsible for instruction aligned to the Norwalk Board of Education curriculum; develops and delivers lessons, uses diverse instructional strategies, maintains student records, conducts parent conferences, assesses student progress, and collaborates with staff to support student achievement. Requires CSDE Biology certification (endorsement 030), a Bachelor's Degree in Science, ability to teach diverse learners, strong classroom management, and experience with team teaching. Spanish language skills are desirable. Position follows NFT contract terms; Monday–Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Active CSDE Biology certification (endorsement 030)
- Bachelor's Degree in Science
- Demonstrated and successful experience in a multi-cultural setting.
- Fluency in Spanish is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to teach high school classes.
- Experience with team teaching.
- Urban experience.
