Job Summary
Develop, plan, organize, and implement the instructional program for middle school students (Grade 6-8) in Adaptive Physical Education (PE) by designing curriculum and lesson plans, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and delivering educational activities. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, and either a Florida Educator’s Certificate or district-adjunct certification pathway, or eligibility status. Background screening (Level II) is required. The role may include additional teaching periods beyond base contract with supplemental pay. Location: Gulf High School, New Port Richey, FL. Focus areas include classroom instruction, curriculum development, and adherence to district and state regulations for adaptive PE.”,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification OR Valid statement of eligibility
- Background screening requirements per Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse Level II
- Possession of or eligibility for Florida Educator certification
- Experience or ability to meet certifications and screening requirements for teaching in middle school adaptive physical education
- Ability to develop and implement instructional plans for grades 6-8 in adaptive physical education
- Commitment to safety and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
