Job Summary
6th Grade English Language Arts teacher responsible for developing and implementing an instructional program, creating curriculum and lesson plans, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and meeting district, state, and federal requirements. Requires Bachelor’s degree (or state-approved certification pathway) and a valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or adjunct certification (or eligibility). Reading Endorsement preferred. Position is full-time for the Pasco County Schools at River Ridge Middle School in New Port Richey, FL, with 196 instructional days per year; duties include curriculum design, instructional planning, educational programming, and adherence to district payroll and compensation structures for additional periods if required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
- Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification OR Valid statement of eligibility
- Reading Endorsement preferred or willingness to earn endorsement
