Job Summary
Design and implement daily lesson plans aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education principles while leading classroom organization and routines. Supervise children during learning activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor exploration, serving as a Mandated Reporter to recognize and report suspected abuse or neglect. Build strong relationships with families through consistent communication, conferences, and community events, responding to inquiries within 24 hours. Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen classroom systems, coach Assistant Teachers, and maintain all required certifications and training. Operate year-round, Monday–Friday, 7:00AM-6:00PM at one of 42 New England schools within Babilou Family US's global network of 1,100 early education centers.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass required state and company background checks
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or be enrolled in classes
- EEC teacher certification or requirements completed to be submitted for review (for roles requiring EEC Certification)
- Adhere to all company policies and EEC regulations
- Ability to stand, move, run, and play for most of the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times a day
